Bastille Day 2009
Storming of the Opera, Saturday, July 11, 4 - 10 pm. Join the AF, French-American Chamber of Commerce and Minnesota Opera for the French-est Bastille Day celebration in town at the MN Opera Center (620 First Street N, Minneapolis). Admission includes catered French food, wine, live French music, mimes, children's entertainment, vintage Citroen cars and more! For complete details, click here!

Tour de First
Tous à vélo! Monday, July 6, bring your bicyclette to the Alliance Française at 3:30 pm. At precisely 4 pm we will ride north on First Street to the Minnesota Opera Center for a Storming of the Opéra. A queen will be crowned for our Bastille Day celebration, followed by a rousing chorus of la Marseillaise and light refreshments will be served. Venez nombreux!!

French Immersion Night
Wednesday, July 8, from 5-7 pm, come to the Alliance Française and feel like you are in France! In celebration of Minnesota French Week, join us for an evening of only French conversation. This event is free, a $5 donation is suggested to cover food and beverage costs.

Ciné Club
Friday, July 10, at 7 pm. Join the AF Ciné Club for a free French film, Le Mépris, the 1963 comedy directed by Jean-Luc Goddard and starring Brigitte Bardot. Free parking is available in the street lot across from the AF building on First Street.

July 6 - July 12, 2009 is "Minnesota French Heritage week" as declared by Governor Tim Pawlenty at the request of the Alliance Française!
