Conversation Groups

Alliance Française hosts 2 informal conversation groups in the Twin Cities:

  • P’tit Dej : every first Saturday of the month, 9:30 to 11:30 am at the Alliance

  • Apéritif en français : every third Thursday of the month, 6 to 7:30 pm at the University Club in St Paul

  • Les FranCopains : every month, on the second-to-last Thursday of the month, in a bar, from 6 to 8 pm — check out our events to see where the next one will be

We host one monthly informal conversation group in Rochester:

  • P’tit Café: every first Sunday of the month, 2 to 3:30 pm at Café Aquì

    • * Please note that Alliance Française does everything possible to provide a staff member who is a fluent French-speaker to guide the conversation at each of these groups, though there are some months when we are unable to attend!

    • At the Minneapolis Institute of Art, 2400 South 3rd Street, Minneapolis, MN, noon to 1:30 p.m.

    • 6:30 to 8pm at Lunds & Byerlys, 1450 West Lake Street, community room on second floor.

  • Every Thursday

    • 6 to 7:30 pm at Barnes & Noble, Har Mar Mall, Roseville

  • Every Saturday

    • 10:15 am to 2 pm - Meeting virtually. Please join the Facebook Group for updates, or email katezerby77@gmail.com. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this group is now meeting online and can be joined on MeetUp by searching “Weekly French Conversation Group - Twin Cities”.

  • Every 3rd Sunday of the Month

    • 2 to 5 pm at Utepils Brewing, 225 Thomas Ave N #700 · Minneapolis, MN. This is part of the INT’L CAFE, a language and cultural meetup group. You will need a free account to sign in.
