Discover the history, people, traditions, architecture, and cuisine of this beautiful North African kingdom over the course of an eleven day trip, from January 15 to 25, 2024. We will visit Tangier, Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca, Essaouira, and Marrakech.

There is an optional six-day Sahara Supplement, an unforgettable excursion to the legendary desert, its oasis and kasbahs, from January 25 to 30, 2024.

Rendez-vous at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris where we will take the same flight to Casablanca and then the “bullet train” to Tangier, a strategic port city on the Strait of Gibraltar known as much for its idyllic beaches on the Mediterranean Sea as it is for its vibrant old medina and kasbah.
After discovering Tangier, we will visit Chefchaouen, known for its famous blue washed walls and the Hercules caves. Then, we’ll follow the Atlantic coast southwest and stop in Rabat on our way to Casablanca. After two nights in *Casa*, we will visit Oualidia and Safi as we venture on to Essaouira. After our stay in this seaside town, we will head inland to vibrant, bustling Marrakech for three days and three nights.
For those who would like to prolong their journey, stay on for an additional 6 days with the ***Sahara Supplement*** and discover the legendary desert where we will camp (or shall we say glamp?) for two nights.

What’s Included in the Base Trip?

Hotel : Ten nights, double occupancy; all rooms are non-smoking and have private baths. Single accommodations are available upon reqeust, please see details and rates below.
Food : Breakfast is provided each day in the hotels; six lunches and eight dinners are included in tour price.
Transportation : Bullet train ticket from Casablanca to Tangier; all inter-city transportation from Casablanca to Marrakech, by air-conditioned coach and transportation for tour activities. Please note if your return flight departs from Casablanca rather than from Marrakech, transportation to the airport in Casa is available for $150 per person.
Multilingual tour guides for all group activities included in the itinerary.
Guided tours indicated as ‘included’ on the Trip Plan, tips for walking tours, guesthouses on the road and in Marrakech.

What’s Included in the sahara supplement?

The Sahara Supplement includes an additional five nights of lodging with private bath (hotels and desert camp); transportation (both coach and camel); guides; breakfast, lunch & dinner all days; airport transfer.

What’s Not Included?

The price of the tour does not include:

Transportation (flights) between participant’s point of origin and Casablanca nor transportation from Marrakech to participant’s final destination.
Medical or trip insurance.
Other Meals: Any meals other than those organized by the tour described in the day-by-day itinerary.
Other: Any services not specifically identified in the What’s Included? section above.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

If you cancel prior to December 1, 2023, Alliance Française will offer a partial refund of your deposit (less a $500-per-person cancellation fee). No refunds for participant cancellation will be made after December 1, 2023 as deposits must be wired to the hotels, sites and restaurants at that time. All participants must sign and return Waiver and Release of Liability forms, which will be sent to you after we receive the deposit and completed reservation form. Reservation will be considered complete once Alliance Française has received these signed forms. Alliance Française reserves the right at all times to cancel all or part of the tour and refund appropriate monies paid by the participant, without further liability. For this reason, we strongly encourage participants wait to make non-refundable travel reservations until we have confirmed that the tour will take place.
