Conversation Groups

Alliance Française hosts 2 informal conversation groups in the Twin Cities:

  • Petit Dej : every first Saturday of the month, 9:30 to 11:30 am at the Alliance

  • Apéritif en français : every third Thursday of the month, 6 to 7:30 pm at the University Club in St Paul

We host one monthly informal conversation group in Rochester:

  • P’tit Café: every first Sunday of the month, 2 to 3:30 pm at Café Aquì

    • * Please note that Alliance Française does everything possible to provide a staff member who is a fluent French-speaker to guide the conversation at each of these groups, though there are some months when we are unable to attend!

    • 12 to 1:30 pm at Minneapolis Institute of Art, 2400 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55404. Contact Peggy to join!

    • 6:30 to 8 pm at Open Book, 1011 S Washington Avenue, Minneapolis

    • 6 to 8 pm - The Loft at Jerry's Foods - 7760 Hargis Pkwy, Woodbury, MN 55129 - All Levels. “You will find us by the tabletop french flag!”

  • Every Thursday

    • 6 to 7:30 pm at Barnes & Noble, Har Mar Mall, Roseville

  • Every Saturday

    • 10:15 am to 2 pm - Meeting virtually (used to take place at Zoe’s Cafe, 821 W Lake Street, Minneapolis). Please join the Facebook Group for updates, or email katezerby77@gmail.com. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this group is now meeting online and can be joined on MeetUp by searching “Weekly French Conversation Group - Twin Cities”.
