Wanderlust in Color - Exposition de Dana Bjorum
Come admire the beautiful artwork of Dana Bjorum in our Vaaler Galerie!
Wanderlust in Color is a series of collages largely created during Dana Bjorum’s 100 Day Project in 2021. What started as a simple series of paper collages, transformed into a visual diary of past travels and sentimental places. These pieces use black and white photos (nearly all of which were taken by the artist) set against vibrant pops of color. The use of colorful origami paper and simple, repetitive motifs bring a playfulness and contrast to the black and white images.
“I hope these images will bring the viewer both light and joy in the midst of what has been a heavy and difficult time for many.”
The opening of Dana's exhibition took place on Thursday, Jan 13 at 6 pm. After opening night the exhibition will be open to visitors Monday through Thursday 9 am to 7 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm. The exhibition will be on display until Feb 19, 2022. It is free of charge, with a $10 suggested donation to support our cultural programs.
