''Paris en mouvement''
Exposition de Michael Hoffman
Come admire the beautiful photos in Michael Hoffman's collection of time-lapse photography in our Vaaler Galerie!
Employed by a French software development and consulting company in 2003, Michael Hoffman spent a few months in 2003 and about 1.5 years 2008-2009 in Paris. Starting out with a Pentax K1000 and a few good shots in the Louvre and lots of bad pictures of the Eiffel tower, he eventually migrated to medium format film and a Pentax 645n and finally a Pentax 67II which was used to take most of these pictures.
A favorite theme of Michael's is time lapse photography. Typically when in a street somewhere taking such a picture, people who "accidentally" walk into the picture apologize. But in reality, a good picture is really made by the people that are in that picture, even if it is only their ghosts that appear in the image.
The opening of Michael's exhibition will take place on Wednesday, Dec 1 at 6 pm.
Click below to register your attendance at the opening! Attendance at the opening is free of charge, with a $10 suggested donation to support our cultural programs.
After opening night the exhibition will be open to visitors Monday through Thursday 9 am to 7 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm. The exhibition will be on display until Jan 3, 2022.
