Join us for a Francophone movie night as we screen Azuro directed by Matthieu Rozé
An adaptation of Marguerite Duras’ novel "The Little Horses of Tarquinia, " Azuro follows the story of a close group of friends as they take their annual vacation on the Blue Coast just south of Marseille. Everything feels familiar and typical of past vacations until a seductive stranger arrives on his boat and mingles with the group. Their boring daily routine gives way to a love adventure which challenges the group‘s relationships.
Film will be shown in French with English subtitles.
Matthieu Rozé is a French actor, director and screenwriter. He received the short film prize at the tenth edition of the Alpe d'Huez International Comedy Film Festival in 2007 with his short film Petit Poucet. In 2020, following the lockdown, Rozé, who is an avid reader and student of literature, adapted one of Marguerite Duras works into Azuro.
