Join AFMSP for an evening of virtual entertainment! Connect with fellow francophones and francophiles and relax in the company of French-speaking artists for an event of music, comedy, and illustration! We have invited 4 artists to “la scène”, who will give performances of all different styles. Each of them will perform for about 15 minutes.

Philippe Gallandat - musician
Philippe Gallandat is a French singer and actor. Born in the French part of Switzerland, he sings now his french repertoire (from traditional to Brel, Brassens, Leclerc, Bruant, Beart etc.) at various venues, French restaurants, Cultural Events, Art openings, Alliance Française, Fresh Air Radio, MTN. He hosts a weekly Open Mic at a local venue, the Chatterbox Pub.

Bernard Salva - actor, director, songwriter, theatre professor
Bernard Salva is a French multidisciplinary artist based in Edmonton, Canada. At the same time actor, director, songwriter, theatre professor, he has taught, played or directed around forty productions in France and internationally. Singer-songwriter, he released his album Transports in 2011 and Rêveur éveillé en 2020. He also published the play Dalia, une odyssée. Photo Isaiah Rust

Mohamed Yabdri - humorist
Mohamed Yabdri is an award-winning performer from Oran, Algeria. He stars in two Algerian tv shows. He has presented his work as a theatre artist in every major Algerian city, Paris and Albi France, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Cameroon, and Morocco. In the Twin Cities Mohammed has worked with a number of theaters and art spaces.

Isabelle Skoog - illustrator
Isabelle Skoog is an artist who mainly uses gouache and ink pens. Originally from Minneapolis, her passion for travel, history and culture from other countries is reflected in her work.
