His show “Terms of Engagement” will be exhibited in our Vaaler Art Gallery. Don’t miss this opportunity to re-discover the twin cities through powerful, intimate paintings by David Amdur!

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, David A. Amdur sought a substantial education in figurative painting, and found it in the MFA program at Queens College of the City University of New York. The painters he studied with there had the courage to row against the predominant tide of abstraction amid the mid-century to create truly original work informed by tradition. After completing his MFA, David secured an Andy Warhol scholarship for an additional year of study at The New York Academy of Art to gain greater skill and knowledge in figure drawing.
After the opening night, the exhibition will be open to visitors Monday through Thursday 9 am to 7 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm. The exhibition will be on display until May 5, 2023.
