The Awe Factor : a performance for the Plastic-Free Challenge
Analog Dance Works is partnering with Hennepin County's Plastic-Free Challenge during the month of February. Begin or continue your plastic free journey by:
-Joining Team Analog and complete action items to build new habits, learn, and earn us points!
-Contribute to the Reprise Performance by participating in our single use plastic drive (details below)
-Come see the Reprise Performance
On Thursday, February 27, Analog Dance Works will wrap up the challenge by presenting a reprise performance of The Awe Factor, a contemporary dance production of a horror dream landscape on a plastic island that premiered in May, 2024. They are bringing this work back to the Alliance Française Mpls/St. Paul and will once again graciously trash our lobby for the show! The performance will be half an hour with a post show Q&A. Space is limited, so book your ticket in advance. We can't wait to share this work with you again!
Help contribute to the production by donating your single use plastics!
The Awe Factor uses 10 cubic yards of single use plastics. That's a lot of plastic! You can help us bring this show to life by dropping off your plastic bags, mail packaging, and unsoiled food bags at one of our drop off sites:
- Alliance Française Mpls/St. Paul Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve (East Bethel, MN)
Can't make it to a drop off site? Reach out to Brenna at director@analogdanceworks.org for other options.
Deadline to drop off: Tuesday, February 25

About the founder
Brenna Mosser (she/her) is a dance artist (dancer, choreographer) based in Minneapolis, MN, USA. She seeks to illuminate the awe in her surroundings by sculpting falls, stumbles, and asymmetries gracefully. She spent two years in the Conservation Corps of Minnesota and Iowa, where she faced the reality of climate change and has since dedicated her work to dissect and digest this crisis with her community.
She earned her bachelor’s in dance performance at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, UK. She supplemented her degree at le Centre national de la danse Contemporaine in Angers, France where she spent two years learning intensively from world-renowned dance companies and their artists. There, she earned an L3 licence in dance performance and in arts management.
She founded Analog Dance Works in 2019, a dance company whose mission is to explore the intersection between dance and science through choreographic works and roundtable discussions. Alongside Analog, She dances for Threads Dance Project, Ruby Josephine Dance Theater, 43x94 Movement Research, and Zoë Koenig.
