april 29 - high schools

Les Choristes — réalisé par Christophe Barratier (2004, 1h35, Fiction)

10 am - 12 pm

Pierre (Jean-Baptiste Maunier) is an aimless child at an austere boarding school in France. The students and faculty are constantly at odds with one another, until a music teacher, Clément Mathieu (Gérard Jugnot), arrives and starts a choir. Clément -- who has troubles of his own -- tries to change the reactionary policies of the school, choosing instead to encourage his students. His efforts have a particular impact on Pierre, who shows great musical promise.

Ce classique intemporel explore des thèmes comme la rédemption, l’éducation et la musique. Sa profondeur émotionnelle et sa bande-son mémorable en font une œuvre marquante pour les adolescents plus âgés.

April 30 - Elementary schools

Kina & Yuk : Renards de la banquiseréalisé par Guillaume Maidatchevsky (2022, 1h20, Fiction)

10:30 am - 12 pm

This is the last frontier, endless white plains stretching out to the North Pole, a land of ice running over a frozen ocean. This place can be challenging, but life in the Arctic is about to get even harder for Kina & Yuk. The brave Arctic foxes will soon become parents for the first time. But, Arctic winters are no longer what they used to be and global warming is reshuffling the cards for everybody. Gone hunting on the shoreline, Yuk ends up being trapped on drifting ice. Left alone, Kina has no other choice but to venture into unknown territories. Just a few days away from giving birth, the countdown has started! Will they manage to find each other in time for the birth of their cubs? On their way, they will meet some unexpected friends and ferocious foes across dazzling yet fragile landscapes. This wildlife adventure is a tale of love, hope, friendship, and endurance.

Ce film explore des thèmes comme l’amitié et la nature à travers une aventure captivante au cœur des paysages glacés. Son approche accessible et ses personnages attachants en font un choix idéal pour cette tranche d’âge.

may 1 - middle schools

Astérix et Obélix : mission Cléopâtre réalisé par Alain Chabat (2002, 1h47, Comédie)

10 am - 12 pm

The Egyptian Queen Cleopatra bets against the Roman Emperor, Julius Caesar, that her people are still great, even if the times of the Pharaohs has long passed. She vows (against all logic) to build a new palace for Caesar within three months. Her architect Edifis, however, needs the help of Asterix (Christian Clavier) and Obelix (Gérard Depardieu) to fight Romans who try to stop the construction.
