Alliance Française High School Scholarship Program
for students in grades 9, 10 and 11
Each year, Alliance Française Mpls/St Paul awards local high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors with a one-year scholarship to language classes. The scholarship program began in 2003 and covers all membership fees, tuition and materials for the student for one calendar year, a total value of $2,000 per participant.
Acceptance to the program is determined by academic merit (GPA 3.0 or higher), financial need, access (or lack of access) to French programs in school, maturity and interest in French culture and the French language.
Please note that Alliance Française classes are offered on weeknights and on Saturday mornings. Careful consideration must be given by each applicant and their families to any scheduling conflicts that may make participation difficult, such as extra-curricular activities and distance to travel. In the event a scholarship is awarded and the student does not make use of it, the Scholarship Committee may withdraw the award.
