Anne-Sophie
I am Anne-Sophie, I arrived in the Twin Cities in February 2018 as the education intern and I am our current Educational Ambassador. I come from a small town near Angers, a beautiful city in the Loire Valley. After studying French cuisine and a first stay in the USA, I decided to teach French as second language to share with people our beautiful language and the many cultures that go with it.

I have been teaching French for four decades, as adjunct university professor, and also with adults and learners from high school and middle school. The Alliance Française was a natural home for me, having lived and studied in France and Germany, led groups abroad, and tutored families of companies preparing to relocate to French-speaking countries. I work with numerous private and commercial clients, serving as on-site translator for high-tech training, audio producer and voice talent for a dozen French textbook publishers. My wife is native French, and our daughter and grandchildren are all French nationals.

Damian
Bonjour, my name is Damien, I teach French at the Alliance since 2011.
I come from Vendée, on the French Atlantic coast, and now live in Columbia Heights.
I have studied history and literature in Nantes.
In a previous life I was a sailing instructor in Western France. When I am not teaching I plays guitar, cook (I am a trained crêpier!) and love to fish and garden.
I have a passion for language and culture, and absolutely love grammar :D
A bientôt!
