THE TRIP

Normandy and Brittany, two regions in northern France that are rich with history and surrounded by the sea.

Join Alliance Française for a discovery of la Normandie and la Bretagne. From the Carnac stones dating back 4500 BCE to William the Conqueror and the Battle of Hastings in 1066 to the D-DayBeaches where Allied troops fought to liberate Europe in the World War II, history abounds in every village. Calvados, crêpes and fruits de mer are just some of the local specialties we will sample as we visit gardens, castles and enjoy a promenade en mer of the English Channel and then the Gulf of Morbihan.

The Normandy & Brittany trip includes 10 days and 9 nights, from May 4 to 13, 2022 , with four nights in Trouville-sur-Mer, one night on the Mont-Saint- Michel, and four nights in Rennes. This unique experience is perfect for people with a spirit of exploration and adventure. Please note access to Mont-Saint-Michel includes more than 300 steps, many of which are very steep. The tour is organized by Christina Selander Bouzouina, Executive Director, Alliance Française. Land only, airfare not included.
