Free - Suggested donation $10
Born in Lusanga in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Blaise grew up there where he found a passion for literature, with help from his two teacher parents of course, before moving to Belgium, and then Canada where he has been living since 2007. His debut novel, J'irai danser sur la tombe de Senghor, was published in 2014; it won the Ottawa Book Award for French fiction, and was a finalist for the Trillium Award.
Join us an hour earlier for our monthly book club, Les Navigateurs de la Littérature, where we will be discussing one of Blaise's novels, Dans le ventre du Congo.
